"Winter is Past, Springtime is Here"

The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land." --Song of Solomon 2:12

Sweet is the season of spring: the long and dreary winter helps us to appreciate its warmth, and its promise of summer. He has risen that He may draw us after Himself: Now by His Holy Spirit He is reviving us, that we may, in newness of life, ascend into the heavenlies, and hold sweet communion with Him. Let our wintry state of coldness and indifference fade as He creates a spring within.  "Come away," Further and further from everything selfish, worldly, and sinful. Come away from the outwardly religious world, which knows Him not. Come out of the raging storm, to a place of rest after a winter season of labor, and come to the goal of your desires and your wishes.

Rise up my love, my fair one, and come away." --Song of Solomon 2:10 "

It is time to let your sap flow, and your branches blossom. Fair weather is smiling upon the face of the earth, and He would not have you spiritually asleep while nature around you is awaking from her winter's rest. He is risen, therefore, You are risen in Him.
