The
Lord has spoken to my heart to write a serious Word on protecting
ourselves from Spiritual Mildew, which is trying to creep its way
into our personal lives as well as the body of Christ.
The
Bible declares in Haggai 2:17
"I smote you with
blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your
hands."
I
pray this message both ministers to your heart and urges you to
reorder your priorities in accordance with God’s will. Spiritual
Mildew creates contamination.
It is a fungus that easily spreads and can rub off on
others. It is no different than harboring wrong attitudes and sins
or maintaining close relationships with sinful people, [it
produces the same results] eventually you will become
contaminated.
It
comes as a result of saying that God is number one but then
relegating him to a lesser number on our “to do” list.
Pressures, demands and expectations from the outside consume our
energy and time and what is really important gets shoved to the
side.
Mildew
may attack our hearts, and shrivel our prayers. It creates a
deficiency in our sincerity and desires. It consumes our harvest
[conversion of souls, both family and friends, finances, holiness,
etc.] It is spiritual pride that will bring upon us dreadful evil
that only the Lord of the harvest can remove, when we acknowledge
it and repent.
We
learn from this our dependence upon the Lord, and the need of
prayer so not to be stained or scared with the above blight. May
it please the Lord to avert so serious a tragedy and may the Sun
of Righteousness, Shine Bright and drive this blight far from you
as you put aside all else to obey Him!
