Oh
my soul, bless God, and do not forget a single benefit—
-
He
forgives your sins—every one. He heals your diseases—every
one.
-
He
redeems you from hell—saves your life.
-
He
crowns you with love and mercy—a paradise crown.
-
He
wraps you in goodness—beauty eternal.
-
He
renews your youth—you’re always young in His presence. God
makes everything come out right. …[Psalm 103 Message]
Do
your blessings make you thankful, or do they make you feel
independent of God? I
pray it is the former rather than the latter. Because we have a
tendency to take things for granted, sometimes the very blessings
God bestows upon us, make us forget Him.
Therefore we are admonished in the word to “Forget Not
All His Benefits.”
What
did you do to deserve all of the blessings God has conferred upon
you? The answer is
indisputably NOTHING!
The favor of God is unmerited and is given freely to His
children. He loves us
a great deal more than any earthly being could fathom.
His love is our lifeline.
When your situation becomes inexplicable and you are
perplexed as to your next course of action, God extends His
lifeline of love. This
love does not correlate to an earthly love and it is futile to
embark on such an endeavor. To
some the favor we receive from our Heavenly Father may not seem
fair; but child of God, “Membership does have its Benefits.”
When we enter into covenant He pays debts that we owe and
blesses our life with forgiveness, healing, redemption, eternal
life and every good and perfect gift.
If
you haven’t already done so, invite Jesus right now to come into
your life and take up permanent residency so you can start today,
right now, enjoying the Benefits of Membership.
And
if you are in covenant, but have allowed these benefits to slip
from your heart, ask the Lord for a fresh revelation—in
understanding His blessings and favor on your life.
Don’t forget all you have been given, and remember to
thank the Giver for each and every good thing He bestows
